I just spent the afternoon taking a ride in a 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza. Such an incredible car with immense raw power. We shot down the side roads near Albany at over 140kph overtaking Holdens and family wagons with a deafening roar as we went. The supercharger kicks the straight 8 engine to the next level and powers through the range.

If you want your life changed then you HAVE to get your ass in one of these bad boys. They are a rarity that cannot be surpassed for the pure enjoyment of driving, but starting at around $1.3 million for a replica and originals selling for $7 million + they are a little out of my price range right now. One day… one day.

Hand crafted knives by Icelander Palli Kristjánsson. He uses natural materials that were available during the Viking Age. These include reindeer antler, whale tooth and bone, brown coal from a 12 million-year-old fossilized tree, and an assortment of Icelandic stone.

Just went and watched this. Well shot with epic landscapes and not a bad western plot to keep your interest. I’d recommend giving it a watch. Check out the trailer here.

I recently went hiking with Teva from Skull Bike Club and took my Jazzy Gore-Tex NB’s along for the ride. Despite looking like sissy rainbow explosions they have some pretty tech Vibram soles, and the waterproof uppers came in handy for the occasional river crossing.

1975 Lamborghini Countach. If I had the cash this is what I’d drive. At auction they reach $460,000 NZD. I better start saving so I can get one before we run out of fossil fuel.

Natural bio-filtered pools. These are amazing! By using systems similar to natural ponds the water is filtered through water plants and an aggregate filled sump. The water is drawn through the system with a pump and creates a clean, chemical free pool that doubles as a garden.
